the Events

Caber Toss.  What’s this?  Big fun with Big Wood?

See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caber  for how it's really done.

How’s it scored?

The player can’t step over the throwing line

            The caber must go end-over-end

The caber has to cross the scoring line, but can’t go past it

The closer the caber falls to 12:00, the better the score.  Between 11:00 and 1:00 is a “1”

Between 10:00 and 2:00 is a “2” .

Zero score past 10:00 or 2:00, or if the caber doesn’t go end-over-end, or skids entirely over the line.

Everyone throws three times. Once for practice, twice for score
