A little levity . . .
As part of FPG's standard of hosting we always ask our headliners if they have any medical issues we need to know about. Here is Murv's response:
"Dorothy Morrison is really old and needs help getting around. Kristin Madden can be kind of a pain too because she wants everything Dorothy gets. So, wheelchairs might be in order for those two. As for me, well, I'm all good."Guardians of the Community
Guardians strive to provide a safe atmosphere for our community. We come from the community. We serve the community. We are charged by the community to provide safety and comfort for the duration of the festival. We lend a hand and a back and we provide first aid services from band-aids to beyond. Guardians are required to be First Aid and CPR trained. However, as this is a requirement, the Guardians pay for the certifications and continuing education. Our team is diverse and provides many varieties of services needed by our community. I like to think, Guardians are chameleon-like. We work together to get the job done often unbeknownst to many in the community. We spend our time visiting with our community. We try to ensure a pleasant experience and offer help with any problems that may arise. The generous donations from the community along with monies collected from the silent auction, 50-50 raffle, kiddie carnival games, and any other fund raising ideas Zan and Nicole think up, go to replenishing medical supplies, continuing education classes, and books for the Guardians. This festival we will be purchasing radios with ear pieces. These purchases would not be possible if not for the historic and continuing generosity of our community. We owe much thanks to our community. We are honored to be a part of and serve our community. -Trauma, FPG Safety Manager
Don't forget to stop by the Fund Raising Booth on Vendor's Row to get your tickets for the 50/50 Raffle! Zan has a Top Secret Idea that the ticket buyers cannot resist! There are always additional fun activities, so come on by and see what Zan & Nicole have cooked up this time! All proceeds benefit the Guardian Fund.
