Labyrinth

The labyrinth is designed to be a walking meditation. As such, it can be used for relaxation, greater focus, and divination, among other things. It will be constructed at the very beginning of festival in the same spot as last year. It is open all day and all night, when it is lighted. The Seekers of the Wyrd Coven is a coven dedicated primarily to teaching. Its founding members are Katy Prats, Peggy Morris, Deborah and Steve Ayers.

Katy Prats attended Stetson University in DeLand, Florida for two years before transferring to University of South Florida where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in psychology, magna cum laude. She earned her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law, cum laude, after which she practiced law for many years before retiring. Katy is a certified scuba diver; an initiate of transcendental meditation; a self-initiated witch; a Reike Master; a Church and School of Wicca initiate; a founding member of the Seekers of the Wyrd coven; a healing partner of the Pilgrimage Integrative Healing Process; a second degree black belt and instructor in karate; an inductee into the International Black Belt Hall of Fame; and an avid quantum physics enthusiast. She currently devotes her time to her family, teaching Wicca classes, teaching karate and doing healings.

Peggy was married for 20 years before declaring her independence and boldly venturing into the world with two children. She is now a grandmother of Two. Peggy grew up in Texas but has traveled to and lived in many places. Attracted to the warm breezes and magical atmosphere, she came to Pinellas County about ten years ago. Peggy now helps people from all over the world realize their dream vacations on the sandy shores of beautiful St. Petersburg Beach. Peggy is a self-initiated Witch, an initiate of Church and School of Wicca, a founding member of the Seekers of the Wyrd coven, a healing partner of the Pilgrimage Integrative Method, a Reike practitioner, and the coven mead mistress. She devotes her free time to her family, especially to helping raise her grandson, teaching Wicca, labyrinth construction at Beltaine and Samhain, and keeping Steve and Katy organized.

Steve joined the United States Navy at age 17 and traveled around the world for many years. While in the Navy, he attended Griffin College near Seattle, Washington, where he earned his Bachelors of Science in computer science. He worked for many years as the mainframe technician on submarines. Steve now works as a network engineer for an international corporation and designs web sites for several small businesses.
